Character Name: Ruby (2.0 as fandom calls her, or the brunette Ruby)
Canon: Supernatural
Background/History: http://www.supernaturalwiki.com/index.php?title=Ruby
Personality: The first and most important thing about Ruby's personality is that she is the definition of manipulative. Being a demon, she has had hundreds of years since being turned in the 14th century to perfect her ability to twist people's minds into taking every step towards what she wants. The amount of patience she has is probably a little crazy, never once in canon being seen making a single misstep in pretending to be a good guy until the very end. Not even with Dean Winchester trying to convince Sam that she was the opposite of what she said.
This being said, Ruby is seen being willing to do practically anything to get whatever needs to be achieved. At one point, she offers to do a spell that would wipe out an entire horde of demons including herself to save a group of people surrounded in a police station. Another example is when Ruby is tortured by Alastair during a scheme to get him to come and face a group of angels so the Winchesters can escape. This isn't even touching into the hell she goes through pretending to be on the opposite side period, either. The amount of enemies Ruby seems to have in the series is ridiculous, and it's all because of the appearances she has to keep up for the "greater good". Her "greater good" being Sam killing Lilith to break Lucifer out of his cage, and in a minor way this is almost the only way that Ruby herself is a little bit ignorant to what the truth of what Lucifer Rising means (her true demise).
Ruby's cunning also means that she forces herself to pretend to be as human as she possibly can to trick Sam. This means that she is willing to act sympathetic and even a little bit kind on rare occasions, although she still seems to have difficulty keeping herself from sounding extremely sarcastic and a little bit condescending. Considering how long she has been both a witch and a demon, it seems like it's difficult for her not to get frustrated with how naive humans are. And as hard as she tries to seem like she really means well, Ruby is also not against using guilt trips on people to get what she wants, especially when she puts herself in danger for the good guy's cause.
Another thing about Ruby is that in the most twisted way, she is probably one of the most loyal beings to exist in their world. The extremes she goes to to prove to Sam that she is on his side, while being on Lilith's the entire time is example enough. While she pretends to be a backstabbing bitch, Ruby is clearly willing to die for her creator and that's as loyal as it gets, right? If one thing is for sure, Ruby is truly dedicated to pleasing Lucifer, because it's clear that Ruby has some level of dislike for her even if she does maintain that solid loyalty.
I think the last thing that needs to be noted is that while Ruby is on Lilith and Lucifer's side one hundred percent, it doesn't necessarily mean that she didn't grow to care about Sam Winchester in her own way. Not just because he is the vessel for Lucifer either, because sometimes in scenes together she honestly does seem to just enjoy his company, even going as far as seducing him even though it probably wasn't even necessary. In fact, she had to work to get into bed with him because every sane person should have moral objections to sleeping with a demon. This just seems to point to the fact that Ruby doesn't lie when she says she remembers what it is like to be human, and while a lot of her compassion seen in the series is very questionable, Ruby does have the capability to care about things almost like a normal human being. Probably more so than most demons, at least, but that doesn't mean that her level of caring is in any way sane considering she clearly likes watching Sam crash and burn for her, and her blood.
Outwardly, Ruby is just a bitch, plain and simple. If there is something she can exploit, she'll do it. If she can degrade you? Count her in. It is very rare that she actually shows any shred of humane moral capacity, and even when she does it tends to be pretty twisted regardless. This is seen when she tries to save an entire police station filled with people by sacrificing a virgin girl for the rest. Even her good intentions are laced with venom and cruel ideas.
Abilities/Powers: Being a demon, Ruby has quite a few abilities, although for the most part she gets by through manipulation and with her demon vanquishing knife.
Telekinesis-Ruby can move things with an unseen force, although as noted above she doesn't rely on this too much. Just for convenience, such as when she uses it to close the doors to the chapel to keep Dean from interfering in Sam killing Lilith to start the apocalypse.
Inhuman Strength-Even the lowest of demons have been seen in the series throwing people around with incredibly ease, and one even managed to open an airplane door mid-flight.
Possession- Ruby has the ability to invade and control human beings; most anyway, and it should be noted that any human that she has possessed would be very aware of every single thing she is doing. There are a couple of other things that she can do while in control of a human, including:
Telepathy-If Ruby, or any demon, is in control of someone, they can pretty much access any thoughts or memories they want.
Damage Endurance-Aside from having salt thrown in their face, or an excorsism forced upon them, demons can pretty much endure anything. This is demonstrated in the first season with Meg Masters when she is thrown out of a high building and returns just fine. However, once the demon leaves the body, the human will succumb to all of the injuries and likely die. So, if Ruby were to leave the body she is in now; a girl who was in a coma and had the plug pulled, it would die without immediate medical attention and eventually decay.
It should also be noted that Ruby can of course see supernatural things like ghosts, angels, and the actual demonic faces of her 'brethren'. She also has extensive knowledge of witch craft, having previously been a witch before being a demon, and being seen countering a spell Dean Winchester falls under.
Weaknesses-Any great strength and ability comes with a downside, and Ruby does have weaknesses. As mentioned above, salt is one of those weaknesses. A face full of salt will burn like hell, and Ruby can't cross a line of salt unless there is a break in the line itself. It is also shown within the show that if a demon swallows salt, it has the same effect as an exorcism and forces the demon out of the body.
A Devil's Trap is another weakness for pretty much any demon. It comes in the form of a pentagram or a heptagram (two hexagons within a circle), and it is from The Lesser Key of Solomon, essentially a spell book from the 17th century. Even the strongest of demons have to stay within the circle, and escaping is nearly impossible. The only exception would be if there were a way for the demon to scratch out a part of the circle, without touching it themselves. It should be noted that if even one thing is drawn wrong within said circle, any demon will be able to break it and get out.
An Exorcism is the next weakness Ruby has. If someone knows the ritual to excorsize a demon and manages to say it all before she can stop them, then Ruby will be forced out of her own body.
The final weakness is the remains of her actual body being burned, Demons were once human, people who sold their souls for one thing or another, and if their remains are found and dealt with like any other supernatural being like a Ghost, they are destroyed forever. So while it is being noted as a weakness, it would be impossible for anyone in the Port to actually find them and destroy them considering Ruby's remains are somewhere in Europe.
It should also be noted that Ruby can of course see supernatural things like ghosts, Angels, and the actual demonic faces of her 'brethren'. She also has extensive knowledge of witch craft, having previously been a witch before being a demon, and being seen countering a spell Dean Winchester falls under.
As stated at the very top though, Ruby tends to use simple mental manipulation to get around, and she is actually rarely seen using any of these abilities. She only relies on them when she absolutely has to, because she doesn't need the extra 'juice' to get the job done. The residents will probably find themselves more worried about the other demons (if present!) around than Ruby, especially considering she will be spending her time making allies with people from other worlds. With more powerful demons than herself around, Ruby will certainly do whatever she can to make sure that her own hide is safe and sound above anyone else.
Sample Entry: [An unusually calm voice is heard, and the woman on the other end of the phone doesn't sound the least bit impressed by the events that seem to have been dropped onto her head. Hey, Ruby wasn't about to bitch, the last thing she remembered was being stabbed with her own knife. Honestly, this is probably the least violent way she has been woken up in centuries. Confusion about the situation aside? It's awesome.
She isn't dead anymore.]
So I've had some weird things happen in my long life, and while this doesn't take the cake, it definitely has left me with some important questions. First of all, where am I? Second, is a Sam Winchester around here?
And thirdly, the most important question. Where can a bitch get some french fries?
Sample Entry Two: Waking up to the buzz of the alarm clock was shocking, but not in a bad way at all. In fact, if Ruby's heart were her own, it would have been racing in pure excitement and happiness. She woke up. It wasn't supposed to happen, ever again. More than once Ruby had been in situations like this, having been in a body and then been exorcized out of it only to wake up on the torture rack in hell. But this time was different. She was in a room, with other beds for what she guessed was other occupants like herself, no Alastair or any other higher ups to torture her.
Ruby was grinning as she sat up, and she didn't even realize it. Seriously, was it like Christmas or something? No one in their right mind would have made a deal to bring her back from non-existence, unless...it was Lucifer himself. Rewarding her for her entire life's work to help him rise again.
But that didn't make a whole lot of sense, even if it was a nice thought. Lucifer wanted the end to come, wanted to ruin God's creation of disgusting, ungrateful men and women. Ruby wouldn't be needed any longer, even despite what she had done for him. That thought had her smile fading a little bit as she looked down at her own torso. Her hands moved down to tug the bottom of her shirt up, just enough to reveal the thick scar in the center of her abdomen. The fatal wound she had taken. So it hadn't been some dream, it had definitely been real. That knocked out the possibility of any supernatural forces messing with her mind at least.
Which meant that it was something else with power that had done this. Ruby swung her legs off the side of the bed quickly so she could get up, and look outside of the window. The billboard there told her that she was in Haven, the place where 'everyone was safe together'. It made her laugh, because whatever; or whoever, had brought her here had no idea at what an unsafe demon she actually was.
But pretending could be fun, at the very least. Until she could find her way out, anyway. Ruby turned to head out of the room, determined to find someone else who may have more answers than she did. Someone was bound to know something, and if Ruby was good at anything in her life, it was pretending to be something she wasn't so she could benefit from it.

Character: Ruby
Canon: Supernatural
Version:
Canon Point: Post Death
Age: Between 670-700/ Mentally thousands of years old
Gender: female
History: Not much is actually known about Ruby's history previous to being a demon, but what is known is that she was a witch in the 14th century who sold her soul to the demon Tammi. After this, Ruby spent a very long time being tortured before becoming a demon herself.
Her introduction to the series starts with her assisting Sam and Dean while they fight the Seven Deadly Sins, Ruby simply shows up to kill a couple of demons and informs Sam that she knows who he is before taking off again. The next time Ruby appears, she comes to Sam and tells him that she can help him save Dean from the deal he made to save Sam after lying to him about being a hunter and manipulating curiosity into him by talking about his destiny and past.
Ruby pays Bobby Singer a visit soon after this, offering to help him fix the Colt after he fails to kill her with it. They succeed in doing so, and Bobby gives the Colt back to the boys. Ruby later is threatened by Sam with it, but she manages to convince him that their truce is important considering she can't help save his brother while dead.
She returns later when Sam and Dean are investigating a coven of witches, and saves Dean despite his attempt on her life earlier in the episode with a potion after he is targetted by the witches. Later, they fight Tammi, the demon who put the witches to their work, and it's revealed to the Winchesters that Ruby was once a witch who sold her soul to her. After Dean kills Tammi with Ruby's knife, she tells the two that every demon was once human and that during their stay in hell they lose their humanity. Then she tells them that she has held on to some of her own humanity, and that she wants to help them and the other humans.
Ruby returns when the Winchesters get themselves stuck inside of a Police Station surrounded by demons, they let her in when she breaks into a window and gets caught in a Devil's trap. Ruby then informs them that she is there to help them, and that she has a spell that can get rid of every single demon in the area, including herself. Dean argues with Ruby endlessly on it though when she reveals that she will have to kill the virgin girl, Nancy to do it. Eventually Ruby caves in and leaves them to their own devices, appearing later on at their hotel room to show them a news clipping that reveals every person they saved was still killed by Lilith.
The next meeting between them occurs when Sam, desperate for a way to save Dean, summons Ruby for 'help'. Dean however tricks her into a devil's trap and steals her knife, and the Winchesters leave to go try to take care of Lilith alone. Ruby gets free and follows them, where they discover that the little girl Lilith had been possessing is now normal. That's when Ruby tells Sam that it's too late, and while they barricade themselves from the hellhounds coming for him, Dean realizes that it's actually Lilith possessing her. Lilith tells them that she has sent Ruby far away, and allows the door to open so the hellhounds can kill Dean.
At some point after Dean's death , Ruby returns to find a very distraught, drunk and messed up Sam. With some meat suit recyclying, a scolding, a mention of revenge and harsh convincing, Ruby teaches Sam how to really use his abilities by feeding him her own blood and seducing him. Under the orders of Lilith to break the last seal, while pretending like Lilith actually set Ruby out to kill him.
Once Dean returns however, things start to change and become more difficult with the introduction of Angels, and Ruby tells them that she is going to disappear for a while because she doesn't feel like being smited. Little does Dean know though, that Sam meets her pretty soon after for more of her blood. He catches them when Sam is excorsizing a demon however, and Ruby attacks Dean for being a complete moron. She stops when Sam intervenes though, and takes the now demon free person to the hospital instead.
The demon returns later to tell Sam and Dean about Anna Milton, the girl being pursued by demons like she is the next hot celebrity, and convinces them that she is very important if she is wanted that badly. They all go to investigate, where they discover that Anna is hearing what the angels are saying. Alastair shows up after the boys take Anna from the institution, and Ruby sneaks off with the girl while the older demon is distracted by Dean Winchester. Anna seems less afraid of Ruby after this, despite being able to see her real face.
Ruby returns in the body of a hotel maid to warn them all that demons are closing in on them, and that Anna is safe and sound at a cabin. She gives them the address and leaves, returning to Anna until the Winchesters get there. When they do, Ruby finds out that her knife is gone; taken by Alastair who is also in pursuit of the girl, and is about to really tear into them when Castiel and Uriel the angels show up and demand them to hand over Anna. Anna proceeds to banish the pair of angels with a sigil, surprising the group. Ruby, Dean, Sam and Anna all go to Bobby's after this, where they discover and recover Anna's memory of being a fallen Angel instead of a human through the psychic Pamela Barnes.
This leads to an investigation on finding Anna's grace, and after travelling to Kentucky to find it, they discover that it's gone. Soon after, Anna informs them all that the Angels are talking, and broadcasting that if they do not hand Anna over they will put Dean back in hell.
Ruby, Sam and Dean all come up with a secret plan to get the Angels and Demons in one room to deal with the problem, and she is seen handing herself over to Alastair in a pretend offer to . He tortures her instead, and eventually Ruby pretends to give up, and give him the location. When he takes her back, the Angels are there as well and a fight between the groups breaks out, in which at some point Anna gets her grace back and it all falls apart. Ruby leaves at some point after this, bailing out to go recover from her encounter with Alastair.
Next the demon is seen telling Sam that he is wasting time, and that thirty four seals have been broken. They argue about it, and Ruby leaves when Sam refuses to take her advice and go after the source, Lilith.
She returns when Dean is kidnapped by the Angels to do an interrogation on Alastair, and she uses a spell to locate him for Sam. Then she cuts her arm and gives him some of her blood after he tells her he needs it, for the power. Ruby then disappears for a while, only being mentioned in the series when it's noted that she is ignoring Sam's calls and pleas for more of her blood.
Eventually though she does meet up with Sam, after he breaks out of Bobby's panic room, and after letting him feed on her she tells him that it's almost done, that there are only a couple of seals left to be broken. The Ruby 'reveals' that she has discovered that only Lilith can break the final seal, and finally convinces Sam to go after her. They go to leave and Dean shows up, who tries to kill Ruby and is stopped by Sam. Ruby leaves them to argue for now, pretending to go off to find out more about her lead on a demon close to Lilith.
Soon, Ruby meets up with Sam so they can capture the demon, who was at the nearby hostpial getting newborns for Lilith to enjoy. They stuff her in the trunk, and Ruby pretends to care about Sam's feelings by telling him that he can patch up things with Dean. He tells her that there won't be a later, and they go to interrogate the demon. They find out the location and Sam orders Ruby to kill the demon so he can feed off of her, after hearing a voicemail from Dean that only fuels his decision to go on with it.
They go to St. Mary's Convent next, and this is where Sam kills Lilith on the alter while Ruby keeps Dean from getting inside to stop him. Then, Ruby reveals to Sam that killing Lilith was actually the final seal, and that no matter how mad he is he has to admit she is awesome. Dean manages to get in, with her knife, and Sam holds Ruby for him while Dean kills her.
Fears:
Weaknesses: Any great strength and ability comes with a downside, and Ruby does have weaknesses.
Mundane Strengths/Abilities: Ruby has this fabulous ability to be able to throw the worst (or the best, in my opinion) pop culture references at people.
Sensitivity/Magical Ability:
Being a demon, Ruby has quite a few abilities, although for the most part she gets by through manipulation and with her demon vanquishing knife.

Conditional: Personality development in previous game: N/A
Character Plans: Ruby is going to lay low in the beginning, establishing exactly where she needs to be within the disgusting demon pyramid of insane politics. She'll likely try to manipulate her way into any kind of position of power so that she can have something above all of the rest of the demons, and will probably in the mean time try to find other allies outside of the demons, humans and angels from their world.
Appearance/PB: Being from Season 4, Ruby is (inside of) a brunette with big brown eyes and a rather sweet smile. She stands at 5'4 and is a little bit curvy in shape, contrasting the skinny, pointy faced blond from the previous season. One thing to be noted about her body is that because she is taken after her death, she has a scar on her abdomen from Dean stabbing her with her own demon vanquishing knife.
Her sense of style isn't exactly on the "stylish" side, Ruby dresses for comfort in fighting. A leather jacket, a tank top and a pair of jeans are all she needs to conquer her day. Not to mention a pair of boots. This doesn't mean she wouldn't dress in something different however, considering she has been around since the 14th century Ruby has probably had to wear a lot of things to get around. Basically, it's not like she wouldn't be deathly afraid of kicking off those boots and jeans in favor of heels and a dress. Not if the situation called for it, anyway!

Ruby wasn't prepared in any way to hit the hard ground of the baseball field, and at first the only thing she could process was the ache that seemed to be taking over her entire body. It couldn't have possibly been from the fall, either, it wasn't like that. She felt like she had been through four black holes with a train as her boxing company. All she could do was roll onto her back and look up into the sky with a dazed, and incredibly confused expression.
She was dead. This wasn't possible.
The demon sat up suddenly with a groan, moving to lift up her tank top without any care of who might be around. A gasp escaped her when she saw the scar tissue there, from the wound that finally ended her extremely long (and in her opinion productive) life. Her first thought was Lucifer, and she found herself a little bit too hopeful for her own tastes. That would be the perfect gift in return for all of her hard work, wouldn't it?
This thought was motivating enough to get Ruby to get to her feet, and she swayed a little as she tried to deal with the odd, dizzy feeling that took over her. And then, she started towards the front of the stadium, to try to figure out what the hell happened.

Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities:
Being a demon, Ruby has quite a few abilities, although for the most part she gets by through manipulation and with her demon vanquishing knife.
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? N/A
Weapons: None
History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History: Not much is actually known about Ruby's history previous to being a demon, but what is known is that she was a witch in the 14th century who sold her soul to the demon Tammi.
Point in Canon: 4.22 Lucifer Rising-after death
Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history: N/A
Character Personality: The first and most important thing about Ruby's personality is that she is the definition of manipulative.

Considering how many times I've been to hell, this definitely isn't the worst place I've ever woken up in.
But you know what? I would definitely appreciate some answers anyway. It's kind of rude to just dump a girl naked in a strange place alone.
Especially when it doesn't even come with an explanatory hangover.
» "amatomneslogs" Third-Person Prose Entry:
Ruby's dream was so incredibly vivid, so arousing, that she wasn't even aware that she was dreaming at first. The first sign should have been that the very last thing she remembered was the pain of her own knife piercing her skin. But the penetration and rough hands on her hips were so real that it was her own moan that started to bring her back towards the world of the living. The brunette panted a little bit and her fingers clutched at the incredibly soft (was it silk underneath her?) sheets as her eyes cracked open in confusion...mostly because it was suddenly gone. He had slipped away as the feeling of reality started to tug her back, and now she was laying awake in complete dissatisfaction.
A frustrated sound escaped her as she rolled onto her back, raising her hand to her eyes to rub at them as she frowned. Ruby had to ignore the needy throb in between her legs as she forced herself to sit up despite how groggy she actually felt. The way the sheets shifted around her form, and how easily she slid against them told her that they were definitely silk...and she was most definitely nude.
That was when it finally sunk it. What in the hell was going on? Ruby's eyes widened a little bit as she finally took in her surroundings, and as she did her jaw dropped open a little bit in pure shock. One hand moved to the top sheet covering her nude form, and she slid it off so she could get out of the bed. The room itself wasn't interesting to Ruby in any way at the moment except for finding the mirror located in the bathroom. One thing she noted on the way though, was what looked like a phone sitting beside the bed, but that could wait.
What was on her mind was the fact that she wasn't supposed to be here at all. Waking up nude in some nice room was honestly the last thing on her mind when it came to shock factor. Ruby could remember it so vividly, the agonizing burning pain of her own knife inside of her gut...and her fingers found the scar even before she made it to the bathroom mirror.
"No way..." She said to herself in an almost breathless voice as she looked at her own reflection, tracing out the line of the healed up scar. It took a moment...but she found herself laughing in pure relief. It didn't matter that she was in some strange place, and while it did matter how she got here because it would take some huge mojo to pull something like that off, Ruby couldn't help herself.
She was alive.
Ruby's grin didn't fade even as she raised her hand to touch the collar on her neck, at least not until she slid her fingers back and found that...there was no way to get it off. No lock, no anything. Like magic. That was when she frowned, and Ruby seemed to look more alarmed to herself in the mirror as she tried to use her strength to break the damn thing off.
Any relief she may have had was draining immediately, and now she did suddenly feel damn anxious about the entire situation. Ruby didn't need to try anything else to figure out that she had no powers...and she had to wonder if it was the collar on her neck that was keeping them at bay. Was it there with a seal of some kind? Ruby chewed on her lower lip a little bit as she seemed to consider the question to herself in the mirror, before she finally pulled back to go back to the bed.
The brunette sat down on the edge of it and picked up the phone, deciding that if she was going to get any answers, she needed to see who might be in the phone-book of this thing. Maybe she could call them, or maybe she would be able to decide if she needed to bail out before the person who brought her here returned. Whoever they were, they had to be extremely powerful...and the last thing Ruby wanted was to become the victim of some horrible angelic questioning or something.

» Orientation: Ruby is most definitely heterosexual, being seen in canon making some suggestive comments to Sam Winchester. Not to mention the time she actually seduced him on screen.
As for being actively sexual, she won't have any problems with accepting the demands of Atia and engaging in sexual activity. Being a demon, sex is something that is so simple and easy compared to torture that she certainly won't have any qualms. In fact, Ruby will very much enjoy partaking since it's not like she really does get to enjoy many pleasures in life playing the fake good guy.
On the subject of her possibly swinging towards her own gender, while it is incredibly unlikely to happen, Ruby is willing to go as far as it takes to get what she wants. If sleeping with someone, opposite gender or not, gets her closer to her goal then Ruby will definitely do it.
» Personality: The first and most important thing about Ruby's personality is that she is the definition of manipulative.
» Appearance: Being from Season 4, Ruby is (inside of) a brunette with big brown eyes and a rather sweet smile.
